The personal fingerprint in some incidents of conjugal conflict and comedy in the suburban lives of the Osbornes. You'll find none of the blithe beguilement of the Cugat- but a certain recognition in Horace and Susie Osborne, their youngsters Ronnie and Liddie. How Mr. Osborne is defeated when his family insist on a station wagon; how he spends a sejour in the guest room after a Princeton reunion; how he fights it out with progressive education but fails with psychiatric methods when applied to Ronnie; of Liddie's first dance, first date, and eventually her war wedding; etc. etc. The well kept middle class family- from station wagon to rumpus room- as their problems and predicaments provide humor- on the hearty side- and familiarity. More for rent-than sale.
