HAPPY, HERO AND JUDGE

Mr. Dean thought he knew what he wanted in a pup, and chose first one of three pups, then- finding him wanting in certain qualities, took another, and so on until he had all three. Together they gave him the answers to his needs. In pictures by Lilian Robertson (three color- somewhat too stylized for my taste) and read aloud text, the little story is told. Adults will sense a double meaning in the idea of cooperation, but there's no note of moralizing as it is handled.
