THE WORKING GIRL'S OWN COOK BOOK

Pub Date: May 7th, 1948

A sequel to The Working Girl Must Eat, which should make her not only a competent but a good cook. The book is built around 50 basic menu patterns, with work plans (giving order of procedure, timing, etc.) suggestion variations (with cross reference to others), and including recipes for the specific menu. Sections on shopping tips, quantities (this particularly valuable for the neophyte), cooking methods, use of leftovers (I got some new ideas myself), and double duty planning ahead, all should prove valuable hints for beginning cooks. The recipes are very clearly and concisely presented, taking nothing for granted in the way of previous experience.
