AND WE ARE WHOLE AGAIN

By

Publisher: Abingdon-Cokesbury

It is seldom that the title of a book truly expresses the thesis of the author. Those familiar with the lines of Whittier's hymn: ""We touch Him in life's throng and press And we are whole again"" will at once know that Dr. Werner is dealing with the power of Christ to release men and women from the unbearable pressure of modern life with its temptations, trials and troubles. Many clergymen and other leaders are making much of ""personal counselling"". For these and all others who have to deal with human nature in the raw, this book should be both helpful and stimulating. The author knows his psychology, but eschews the professional patter of the psychiatrist. He knows his religion, but talks of it in nontechnical terms. His treatment is realistic, down-to-earth, as may be gathered from some of the chapter headings; ""The Power to Outwit Evil"", ""Do we Mind Being Ignored"", ""Nailing up the Back Door"", ""How to be Effective in Helping Others"".
