Frosty Wade, freshman at a Kansas University, has made a name for himself in his brilliant maneuvering of the double wing position. And when gridiron hero, Victor McDowell, learns in his senior year that the coach is abandoning the T Formation tactic, on which he has depended as senior quarterback to make Little-All-American, in favor of the double wing, an immediate animosity grows up between the two young men. The agony is compounded when Liz, Frosty's sister loses the power of speech in a car accident with her brother and Victor undertakes to court the defenseless girl. All ends well, however, in this clumsily written story--Elizabeth regains her voice just in time to cheer her brother on to victory and to say ""yes"" to her quarterback sweetheart, and the two men bury their hostility in a deluge of mutual admiration.
