THE SEA

An addition to a fine photographic series, this is a collection of 99 fine photographs, some in full-color, most (and these the best) in black and white of the sea in its many moods the world around. There are dramatic moments captured here- and quiet ones as well; there are men of the sea, and creatures under the sea's surface; there are phenomena and moods; techniques- old and new; navigation and transport and fisheries. There are charts and diagrams and statistical data. And there are special articles by men famed in their areas,- Hermann Hiltbrunner, Ernst Gagel, Auguste Piccard and Hans Hass. A gift book for that army of sea fanciers- for those who like photographic books.
