A YEAR TO GROW

With decorations by Erick Berry, this is a story of girls in a convent boarding school, which seems to be not far from Boston, (maybe in Worcester). Anne Heages becomes one of the ninety at Maple Grove determined to do well in her lessons but to avoid athletics. In the course of her first year she learns to love basketball and tennis, becomes a great friend of Margie Hill, the rebel, is horrified by one of her schoolmates who smuggles in letters. She grows to love the school.
