RINGS AROUND THE WORLD

An informative and interesting history of man's technical progress, taking in all countries of the West, and covering every significant invention from the earliest steam engine to the latest moon rocket. As a good general survey, fascinatingly presented, this has great value, despite somewhat German orientation and a slight awkwardness in writing of the war years and the price German technology paid for Hitler's manias. Written in a vivid, non-technical manner which the high school student with a bent in this direction will find rewarding.
