These are British Navyman, John Rigby's adventures in 1659, as he encounters Anne Parry, Quakeress, and finds the meaning of the purpose of suffering. For the Albatross, readying to capture Spanish galleons, saves Anne from an abandoned, plague ship. John is instrumental in keeping Anne safe from the crew and in helping her to win Captain Lancaster's protection, too; they fight the pirates and take prizes, along with a hoard of gold; Anne is sent to Baltimore's settlement after John has been converted to her Quaker faith; the ship and its treasure is betrayed to King Charles, and John and some loyal friends are saved by the young Charles Calvert to be taken to Maryland where he is returned to Anne. Historical fictioneering of great innocence.
