A fine gap filler of a story about that overlooked industry- peanut butter. Dave, who wants a summer job, gets to know a little more of the North Carolina factory where his father and sister work, when he returns his sister's lost wallet and goes through a lot of the departments to find her. A further complication-! the escape of Petunia, Dave's pig, while Dave was in the factory, resolves itself when he finds her on the factory baseball diamond, her broken leg being set by a vet who asks him to be a summer helper at the animal hospital. Bright pictures by Ursula Koering. The plot of course is an excellent vehicle for conveying information.
