KIRKUS REVIEW

Every tiny child enjoys a game of hide and seek, so this hunt for Josie will be a familiar pattern, with strong recognition values. The small listener is introduced to the house where Josie lives to Josie's parents -- to the places in the house where Josie might be hiding. Until the last moment the answer to the search is not given; then Josie peaks out from behind the umbrella. In line drawings against color blocks, Evaline Noss goes right along with the text. Fun.
