The awkward disappearance of a Revere silver bowl involves the Herrick family, especially young Steve, in an unpleasant situation. Elen Harrick, a cousin, unable to walk because of a recent accident, comes to stay with the family in the midst of all this. It is her inspiration that leads to the discovery of the bowl and the clearing of Steve's name. Story is also concerned with Elen's learning how to walk again, but only in the face of an emergency. Well-written, but plot distinctly skimpy.
