BIRD ISLANDS DOWN EAST

I suppose the chief market for this book is (1) people interested in bird conservation and in particular in various types of gulls and kindred oceanic birds; (2) ornithologists generally, lay and professional. But the market should not be confined to these people, for anyone who likes islands and rugged sea coasts, and an entertaining sort of personal record of an ornithologist and his wife spending their holidays off the coast of Maine. They sound as though they'd be fun.
