MADAM CHAIRMAN, MEMBERS AND GUESTS

Very amusing, but what's the market? For here is a humorous appraisal of the duties, penalties, responsibilities, headaches, heartaches -- and rewards of being president of a woman's club. Retired presidents, with a sense of humor, club members who have no aspirations (and those whose aspirations are feeble) and who can see the funny side of club activities, lecturers who got a kick out of John Mason Brown's Accustomed As I Am (no, it is not as amusing as that) -- and the people who always prefer -- no sour grapes --to stay on the outside of club activities -- pick your market from these. A sort of whispering campaign may get the ball rolling. And it may do some good.
