An unpretentious story with a real pull in the telling, so that I think it should prove very popular with children who like to read about strange pets. It is one of these stories that might be true, of a bear cub that became a pet -- and a nuisance -- to the city children whose year near Lake Champlain was given zest by the addition of Mr. Sweeney to the family!
