A DUCK FOR KEEPS

Deborah was determined to prove that her new duck could be as desirable a pet as any of the more conventional types owned by her friends. From the time Duck nestled tiny and soft in its basket to the day it waddled into its huge box house, Deborah's point is made. There are times when Duck's habits get his young mistress into trouble and times when they cause trouble. But in the end, readers will agree with Deborah that ducks are worth raising and loving.
