AFTER MIDNIGHT by Helen Nielsen

Email this review

Roger and Wanda Warren quarrel violently and when he is killed, she is found sleeping it off, with the bloodstained murder instrument on her pillow. Wanda is young and helpless, and much nicer than her origins (a discotheque) and she is further incriminated by the evidence of a nurse, by no means as spotless as her uniform. Simon Drake, a benedict lawyer, takes over both her case and the investigation. Along with a little humor and a little romance, After Midnight will pleasantly take care of the hours before.
