KIRKUS REVIEW

Forest Ranger St. Cyr and his three sons, Jim, 17, Jack, 9 and Chuck, 7, were divided on one point. Jim wanted to study at radio school in nearby Houghton, Michigan, but his father felt that he was needed on Isle Royal in Lake Superior. When Jim's operation of a radio transmitter to broadcast a description of an unidentified orphan brings a brother and sister together, his father realizes that Jim is old enough to choose a vocation. Convincing, with more appeal for boys than for girls.
