KIRKUS REVIEW

Smooth, if perpleningly complex, romantic lethalities as Elizabeth, who had loved Jeffrey, but who tried to recover when he married Faith Ann, becomes chief suspect in Faith Ann's murder and near victim to its aftermath. Concealed connections and taciturn tongues make the going rough for Inspector McKee who emerges from a net of blackmail, bigamy and robbery with the murderer. Not top drawer for her -- but good.
