ROSALINDA

This has at the back of it the same kind of cardboard cut-out of its heroine-a little donkey- as there was in Noel Streatfields The Theater Cat which won the A.I.G.A. prize last year. (1952, p. 280) Its story takes Rosalinda, who as pictured by Jan Balet is a very cuddly baby, through misfortunes- running away and creating a hubbub- and fortunes- turning into a profitable publicity stunt for the neighborhood department store. Her owners by the way, are the distressed Buzzby family who had brought Rosalinda back with them from the country. Pastel pictures- captivating book.
