More than the answer to inevitable questions (Mrs. Arnstein covered these in What To Tell Your Child), this explores, with the aid of numerous quotes, the normal developmental process as it is presently understood and suggests appropriate parental responses thereto: everything from toilet training through the early Oedipal stage to masturbation and repression is treated, not excluding such embarrassments as parental nudity and size of genitals.
