KIRKUS REVIEW

This story of the struggle and victory of a gallant soul over almost incredible heartbreak and agony has the power to reveal our far lesser hurts as almost unworthy of the attention they customarily receive. Iona Henry found herself fighting for her life in a hospital bed--her entire family wiped out. Her fourteen year old daughter was dead of cancer. Her husband and son were killed in an automobile accident in which she herself was utterly broken in body. This is the story of her fight against pain, fear and hopelessness, of her search for an explanation of her tragedy, and the faith by which she overcame it. In the Christ of the Cross she found One who understood and shared her sufferings, and led her to triumph over them. Many a reader will be grateful to her for strengthening their own faith by sharing hers.
