The study of the growth of a girl, exposed to the contacts of the younger New York artistic circles of the more serious type. Philosophic in tenor, but not especially profound nor original; sensitive; sometimes a bit dull. May find its level as a refreshing change from the accepted picture of the young girl in New York in the throes of cocktail parties and erotic adventures. The story is slight -- a girl breaks away from cultured and pleasant surroundings to make her own way -- and succeeds.
