Of course, I liked it, for I'm a pushover for books about country living, and shared with the Lents enough common experience to appreciate their problems and solutions. This is a diary of a year and a bit more of doing over a Vermont farmhouse on a shoestring. It is all light-hearted, casual, haphazard, but there are enough practical facts to contribute towards a blueprint for others. The book has caught the enthusiasm and personalities involved in the adventure, and it makes good reading.
