Exit that tough Richard, Pete Chambers, of previous Kane titles and enter -- a practically extinct fictional species --the loyal wife. Martin, on a binge for the first time in his married life, comes to with a blonde dead beside him and a hammer in his hand. Unserved, he runs away leaving every possible clue behind him, but his wife, Alice, goes to bat for him with engaging, unethical Police Captain, Brophy, and proves he was framed. A relay day and night in New York City -- excellent tempo and logic -- and a fine moral, ""Stay away from blondes and stick to malteds and your spouse."" A clever time-passer.
