KIRKUS REVIEW

How to assassinate the US Secretary of State without really trying entails blackmailing a close adviser who's incestuously married to his sister Mary Ellen. That's the EZ approach of Columbia psych professor V. A. Green, a Syrian American who hopes to shock the world into a ""compromise between the Zionists and the Palestinians."" Appropriately, the tasseled terrorist's foe is Israeli schoolteacher Joe O'Keefe, a sharpshooting expatriate American millionaire who's recruited by Mossad to assist one of their ""Junoesque"" agents. The author of A Kind of Rape provides some juicy undercovers intrigue if little else.
