Even though he weighs in at 250 pounds, there's no sitzfleisch on retired Inspector McGregor and he moves with enormous speed. This time he's asked to case an ex-Cuban psychiatrist as a possible paid killer for the U.S., finds that he is actually the candidate under observation, is seemingly derailed by a murder which seems to have nothing to do with the case but really does. Lots of liquor, food via Brilat-Savarin-Bond, and derivatively active action. Oh well--all right.
