The ingenious photographs -- straight and spoofing -- of the standard American Girl product should intrigue amateur photographers minus the chance to work with such a fixed quantity as Miss Burrage. The photos range from cheese-cake to mugging with goofy props. This may be an attempt to jump on the picture book bandwagon, and may capture some of that market.
