SALAR, THE SALMON by Henry Williamson

SALAR, THE SALMON

By

Pub Date: June 12th, 1936
Publisher: Little, Brown

This for his Tarka the Otter market, plus sportsmen who are interested in steeping themselves in the atmosphere of the streams and woods, and seeing what goes on in the daily struggle for existence of the salmon to which the mere fisherman is but one minor peril among many. Not in any sense a sentimentalized nature story. There is no humanizing of the salmon, no fantasy element, but simply a dramatic story of what one feels actually happens from the time a salmon deserts his Atlantic feeding grounds for the inland waterways. Sell as a naturalist's book -- not a novelist's. And a plus sale for older boys.
