A STAR FELL

A story built around the tragedy of misdirection of mission teaching in India, of ill-chosen missionaries, ignorant handling of natives and their problems. The author's position and intimate knowledge of the country and the people gives it a note of authenticity, though it obviously isn't the whole picture. The story of a Tamil peasant, brought up by a Protestant Mission, and dominated by the Vision which caught hold of his imagination --and ended in disaster. Fairly well done.
