KIRKUS REVIEW

Another book which belongs in two fields, adult and juvenile (for full report see P. 474). Here is a layman's book on a new field of medical research, the effects of flying on the physical and mental make-up of the pilot and his crew. We know they have ""occupational diseases"" like ""the bends""; that they experience blackouts. This shows the whys -- and the steps being taken to understand and prevent accidents and forestall ill effects. Interesting and enlightening book.
