SECOND CHANCE: Blue-prints for Life Change

Pub Date: Sept. 26th, 1977
Publisher: Lippincott

Portraits of people--mostly men--who chucked a structured, nine-to-five existence in favor of one of their own devising (Oriental rug dealing, truck driving, farming, country-inn hostaling, teaching, writing, photography, and so on)in the midst of what is popularly called ""their climacteric."" When the hairline begins to recede, apparently, so does the distinction between practicality and fantasy. This is an advocacy book, complete with detailed interviews and descriptions of people who've done it, glossaries for further reading, and some tables which list, according to relative expense, the states in which the income tax allows for such shenanigans.
