The brother sets off in a boat to find a mate for Ann, meets up with an Englishman, Fitzharding, who is forced to kill the brother, and Ann and Fitzharding sail on to find a permanent stopping place, where they may have safety and security for the future. A well told adventure novel, with plausible pursuit of facts-as-they-might-be.
