The several volumes that have now appeared under the aegis of the Board editing Religious Perspectives have made an impact upon thoughtful people who will welcome this latest addition. Classed as a religious book, it is such only because it treats the ideology for international political relationships with insights derived from the Christian faith. Herbert Butterfield's tight reasoning makes it a difficult volume to skim, and presumes a better than average education. To students of political science, and applied theology, this book will give welcome guidance. The immediacy of the book makes it important for all, however. Caught as we are by the tensions between Communist thrust, we dare not ignore the author's lucid analysis of the problem, the positive solutions he suggests and the immediate next steps on the road to solution. Thus the potential reader is an intelligent, well read, concerned citizen.
