MODERN BOOK COLLECTING FOR THE IMPECUNIOUS AMATEUR by Herbert Faulkner West

MODERN BOOK COLLECTING FOR THE IMPECUNIOUS AMATEUR

By

Publisher: Little, Brown

Giving due credit to existing books on subject, the author of this volume defines the place and need for his contribution, for beginners needing basic information and wanting guideposts to what to collect and how to go about it. No attempt to give prices, nor to cover thoroughly the field already covered. Personally, I felt that in giving so much space to his own enthusiasms, he somewhat sidetracks the ""impecunious amateur"" on paths he may not care to follow. But on the whole, the fundamental facts are there as to first steps -- and it should be a book for a plus sale to anyone showing groping interest in modern firsts.
