KIRKUS REVIEW

This is, of course, the sensation of the month, but absolutely nothing is available for report, other than the two chapters already issued in the Saturday Evening Post. The book itself will have eleven chapters, and the only basis of estimate is the quality of the Post material and the statement issued by the publishers. Of the Post chapters, the most prejudiced anti-Hooverite cannot deny the clearness, succinctness and thoughtfulness evidenced in the presentation of the material. What the reader thinks of the content depends, in large part, on his own point of view. Whatever the final estimate of the finished book, it is certain that the sale will be tremendous, the controversy heated, the publicity wide-spread. Book-of-the-Month selection for October. From the publishers' statement the following facts are of value, from the sales point of view. ""A defense of 'The American System of Government' -- a critical consideration of the growth of Fascism, Communism and Socialism -- a frontal attack upon 'National Regimentation' and bureaucracy, which are endangering the entire structure of American liberty.
