KIRKUS REVIEW

Fairly good yarn, again centering around the secret service and the diplomatic officialdom of Washington. This time the heroine is Cherry Garden, half-Chinese, half American, who is being used by her Japanese guardian as a decoy, and her trail crosses that of her fiance, of the secret service, and results in breaking up their romance. Russia -- Japan -- Manchuria -- codes and spies and stolen documents, all the ingredients for a story with plenty of thrills. Yardley has his stuff well in hand, and spins a good tale.
