KIRKUS REVIEW

Here's a good hobby book which many boys- and some girls- will demand eagerly. The author tells everything imaginable about how to house, feed and breed homing pigeons. There are detailed instructions with accompanying diagrams for building various types of practical and not too expensive housing units. The physical makeup of different varieties of doves and pigeons is explained and illustrated, so the young hobbyist may know his bird. A full training program is outlined. There's an excellent list of books and magazines dealing with pigeons, which makes this of added interest as an aid in launching a school or scout group pigeon club.
