KIRKUS REVIEW

Perhaps this book, illustrated with diagramatic drawings by Gustav Schrotter, will take some of the magic out of falling stars. But it most certainly will teach the young science student the abc's of meteors and their evolution into meteorites. Lucidly written, the author defines meteors, dissects them, and describes their behavior. The somewhat unattractive format of this book is compensated for by the serious attention it gives to its most interesting subject.
