LIGHTNING AND THUNDER by Herbert S. Zim

LIGHTNING AND THUNDER

By

Pub Date: Feb. 20th, 1952
Publisher: Morrow

An intriguing book in its dramatic and beautiful pictures by James Gordon Irving, which by its very appearance will lure the inquiring youngster through a text that is quite a reach for third and fourth graders (and in format that is the age level at which the book seems to aim). Zim has the ability, however, to present scientific facts in an appealing package, and much of the data on causes and effects, on what happens and how, will be understood, and make the terrifying beauty of thunder storms a force to respect and admire.
