KIRKUS REVIEW

The author of Submarines and Parachutes grows a bit more scientific in his new book, although he has always evinced a faculty for explaining complex (for the layman) subjects in simple terms. This time he covers all the basic principles of air navigation, the instruments and how they are used, the weather and what has been developed of value to the filer. With pre-flight training courses in high schools, this is a book for boys as well as for adults.
