BUCKING HORSE

Wild One defied all efforts to ride him with the exception of Danny, a little boy who knew how to talk to and soothe the spirited colt. Betty Beatty Burlingame's bold black and white drawings are simply not striking enough to sustain interest in the thin story of Danny's mastery of the horse who defies the best riders in the county at a local rodeo. A disappointingly hackneyed tale from the author of Little Wild Horse and Little Owl Indian.
