LITTLE OWL INDIAN

A striking picture book with a simple, satisfying story about an Indian boy and his brave deed. How Little Owl and his horse, White One, saved the animals of the forest and his village from a dreadful forest fire is concisely told in the text which is blocked off at the bottom of the page, to give full play to the handsome full-color pictures. The author uses large brilliant blocks of color in her illustrations, and occasionally distorts perspective for decorative effect.
