KIRKUS REVIEW

A well known authority on Lincolniana compiles an anthology of short selections that trace the course of Lincoln's life and represent sixty-two writers. Poems, notably three by Walt Whitman, have been included as well as the two inaugural addresses and other well known speeches and quotations. Brief as they are, the pieces and poems are so placed as to give a warm, varied biographical view.
