KIRKUS REVIEW

Fairly routine and unexciting, this story of four youngsters who live on the Canadian-Vermont border of Lake Champlain. How they buy a motor boat from a retired Captain, how they recondition it step by step, how they navigate it on the lake, find a secret cave, smugglers, et al -- and help capture them. So-so.
