KIRKUS REVIEW

Valeric King, ex-follies girl, invites to her country home a dinner party made up of Sheridan and Diana Wesley, madly-in-love-with-each-other detecting two-some, several old lovers and acquaintances, and a newspaper columnist. Valerie's murder not only delays dinner but furthers the relationships between her guests, promotes a swift-sailing investigation of her past, her present as a blackmailer. Sophisticated to smooth touches, with more love interest -- though married- than usual.
