So far, Hobbs' Guides are available only on areas west of the Mississippi, an area not so overburdened with first aids to the hungry and sleepy motorist as the east. Here are reliable, unbiased listings (tied in with routes and mileage) of more than 1,000 establishments per guide. They are rated as luxurious- above average- plain but good. Points of interest and best routes from place to place form an integral part of the guides. The sample we saw is pocket size, light and easy to handle, flexible heavy paper binding. There are a few city maps, one central spread map indicating the sections covered by guides 1, 2, 3, 4.
