KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a book that seems to split its appeal between sheer adventure and good Indian stuff, and a sort of fantasy quality that somehow doesn't quite jell. Told in the form of successive episodes relating to an Indian boy made captive by another tribe and reaching eminence with the help of the good spirits. Told by a father to his son.
