KIRKUS REVIEW

A class ring and ""going steady"" complications cause some pillow pounding in this latest fluffy teen-age novel about Tobey Heydon, heroine of Seventeen Although Tobey had made it clear to Brose when she accepted his ring that the family had mixed going steady, when college man Dick Allen rushes her and later a real smoothie, theatre conscious Kim,- she finds it very trying to keep old Brose on ice. Somehow we cannot take Tobey's problems too seriously, as both she and friends seem limited emotionally, they are overly protected by their families, and immature for their eighteen years. However, this combination of close family life and gay date-full whirl promises sure popularity for the book.
