KIRKUS REVIEW

Carols, poetry, stories, plans for parties with games and recipes for things to eat, legends, plays, customs, schemes for Christmas decorations. The recipes sound good, the selection of carole is excellent, the poetry is well-chosen, and the descriptions of how Christmas is celebrated in other lands are interesting. However, the presentation, and much of the material itself, is on the stodgy side, and I feel this sort of thing has been better done.
